Immersive In-Person Training

Taught by Jeffrey Palermo, this hands-on bootcamp deepens your understanding of AI-driven development, modern DevOps, and the engineering practices that make it work. This bootcamp is ideal for software engineers and architects looking to sharpen their skills with AI and accelerate delivery.

Day1

Foundations: an AI-ready delivery system, from first commit to production

Monday, February 1. Warm-up: zero to first commit in 10 minutes, on your team's own system

Module 1

AI DevOps Environment

Your team's own GitOps delivery system, defined as code from CI to production, with AI agents in the loop and the Three Ways of DevOps tied to business goals.

Capabilities you'll see working

  • Environment changes by pull request
  • Git stores running version
  • No stored cloud keys in pipelines
  • Telemetry per environment

Technologies

  • GitHub Actions
  • Octopus Deploy
  • Bicep
  • Terraform
  • OIDC
  • Claude Code
  • Cursor
  • GitHub Copilot

Module 2

Organizing work with AI

Organize work for flow and for agents: estimate and slice features, build in quality control, write items an AI agent can execute, and report metrics that matter.

Capabilities you'll see working

  • One version from build to release
  • Test results for each deployment

Technologies

  • GitHub Projects
  • GitHub Issues
  • OpenSpec
  • DORA metrics

Module 3

High Quality changes using AI

Prevent defects instead of chasing them: write failing tests first, let an AI agent make them pass inside your guardrails.

Capabilities you'll see working

  • Each commit runs the full test pyramid
  • Acceptance tests with every promotion
  • Warnings are errors, everywhere
  • Secret scanning on every repository

Technologies

  • NUnit
  • bUnit
  • Playwright
  • Qodana
  • CRAP gate
  • gitleaks
  • Roslyn analyzers

Module 4

Enhancing stability in production using AI

Calm, recoverable production: deployments that migrate, verify and fail fast, OpenTelemetry into Application Insights, and AI Ops agents reading health and telemetry.

Capabilities you'll see working

  • Each change smoke tested
  • A standby region for failover
  • Restore point before every prod release
  • Rollback: redeploy the last release

Technologies

  • OpenTelemetry
  • Application Insights
  • .NET Aspire
  • Azure SQL
  • Octopus runbooks
  • Front Door
Day2

Team flow: simulation, integration and architecture, with AI doing the work

Tuesday, February 2. Warm-up: describe your own environment and architecture to two peers

Module 5

AI-Driven Development simulation

A high-throughput team where AI agents do the typing: pairs design and estimate features, then ship them in small commits, each directing its own agent.

Capabilities you'll see working

  • Auto-deploy to test, then promote
  • One artifact per version
  • Known test data after every deployment
  • Tests are parallel

Technologies

  • .NET 10
  • Blazor
  • EF Core
  • Claude Code
  • Cursor
  • GitHub Copilot

Module 6

AI/CI (Continuous Integration)

Integrate many changes a day without breaking the build: review small pull requests with an AI reviewer, and let CI run with required checks and release candidates.

Capabilities you'll see working

  • Required checks on every merge
  • Released artifacts are immutable

Technologies

  • GitHub Actions
  • Docker
  • Copilot code review
  • GitHub Releases
  • Container Registry
  • Octopus Deploy

Module 7

AI-driven architecture

Change a running system safely: move hosting by pull request, scale by declaration, add resilience.

Capabilities you'll see working

  • Hosting moves without downtime
  • Environments differ as declared
  • Architecture as code, at every step

Technologies

  • MCP
  • Azure OpenAI
  • Microsoft.Extensions.AI
  • Container Apps
  • App Service
  • AKS
  • Argo CD
  • C4 model

AI UIs with MCP connections. An in-app AI assistant and outside agents work the application through an MCP server whose tools map to its own commands and queries, behind an LLM gateway with tracing and health checks. Make every app AI compatible.

Day3

Scale: AI-driven development for the whole team

Wednesday, February 3. Closing with an assessment of your own environment

Module 8

Team level AI-Driven Development

Scale AI from one developer to the team: run models locally or in the cloud, build and test LLM features, and govern agents and people working on one system.

Capabilities you'll see working

  • Least-privilege identity per job and app
  • Automation and agents: no human logins
  • Production isolated from non-production
  • Environments locked to the pipeline

Technologies

  • Ollama
  • Azure OpenAI
  • Claude Code
  • Cursor
  • GitHub Copilot
  • Key Vault
  • Managed identities

Module 9

Complete SDLC AI automation

The whole lifecycle, automated: an AI Software Factory takes work from concept to release with AI workers at every stage, and incidents when health checks fail.

Capabilities you'll see working

  • Automated checks prove every capability
  • Every node's health on one page
  • Delivery tool shows environment health
  • Backups with scheduled, tested restores

Technologies

  • AI Software Factory
  • GitHub Projects
  • Octopus Platform Hub
  • Rego policies

Wrap-up: assess your own environment. Score it against the capability checklist and choose the changes that most improve clarity, quality, stability, speed and your team.

What Past Bootcamp Attendees are Saying

Explore the stories and experiences of business leaders like yours who have achieved their goals with Clear Measure.

[Our Deployment process] is definitely a pain point. ….There's a bunch of different ways that aren't standardized at all. The first thing I'll do [when I go back to work] is set up proper health checks. That looked like an easy first step to improve things.

    Michael Billingham

    Software Engineer

One of my main takeaways from this course is that clarity doesn’t just happen. Large teams need scaffolding and tools to ensure clarity is occurring.

      Kevin Labranche

      Lead Developer & Technical Architect

AI-driven development is going to be a huge booster to our software development capabilities.
