The client brought Clear Measure on an architect retainer to stabilize its platform and billing system ahead of registration season. Recurring, difficult-to-reproduce bugs affected billing, logins, and automation. Limited integration test coverage allowed issues to reach production, while a small team struggled to balance new features with ongoing support. The challenges extended beyond the technology. Communication between the development team and business stakeholders stalled, and testing became a major bottleneck.
Clear Measure brought in a dedicated Product Owner, strengthened the architecture with Onion Architecture and MediatR, and added automated integration tests and per-pull-request test environments to the DevOps pipeline. GitHub Copilot and Anthropic Claude Sonnet sped up development.
Within the first month, a new product owner was promoted on Clear Measure’s recommendation, and new processes were introduced to improve collaboration between the business and development teams. Over the following months, the team added more than 3,000 automated tests and doubled its sprint velocity after adopting GitHub Copilot and Anthropic Claude Sonnet. Integration tests began catching issues during pull requests instead of in production, allowing developers to spend more time on new features. The registration period was significantly better than previous seasons, with more predictable customer interactions and a better registration experience overall.
