“My name is Jim Beaver, and our company is called HaloCar. HaloCar is designed to help direct lenders fund their automotive direct loans. Right now dealerships control about 75 to 85 percent of all the direct lending and they do it with captive or indirect financing. Halo Car puts direct lenders back in the driver’s seat.

We chose Clear Measure because we thought Clear Measure could really deliver what it was we were looking for. We actually interviewed quite a few software companies up and down the west coast, primarily in Los Angeles, San Diego, and in Seattle, there’s quite a few as well. So We had looked at quite a few and weren’t quite settled.

And strangely enough, my best friend, who’s a jeweler back home in Louisiana, suggested Jeffrey Palermo and Clear Measure. I didn’t know who they were. He actually has been coding for quite a few years. And he said, you know, I’ve been watching this guy for eight or 10 years. You need to look at him. So I called Jeffrey, and we had a conversation, set up a meeting, and it was an easy decision after that.

There was an early win with Clear Measure and it has to do with data analytics built into our software, which primarily what it does is the banks have their own set of data, the dealerships have their own set of data, but with our software engineered through Clear Measure, we’re able to combine them, look at a complete cycle time so that we can best manage the entire process.

Working with Clear Measure was fun. I actually liked everybody that I worked with. Their project manager, programmers, everything in accounting, they were all great people. And they were easy to work with. And the thing about it that I really like is they got our process.

Sure, we had maps and functional requirements, but they were able to look at what we were doing and tweak the software and engineer the software so that it would give the end users exactly what they were looking for. Because of Clear Measure, we’re now going to create an Android and iPhone app for the customer’s benefit. It really smoothed out the process and HaloCar can also be able to capture a lot of significant data. “
